The school admission process in Ghaziabad and the Trans-Hindon belt can feel overwhelming for parents. Balancing distance criteria, point systems, CBSE age norms, and individual school philosophies requires careful strategy—especially for families residing in Surya Nagar, Ramprastha, Brij Vihar, Chander Nagar, and Vaishali.
To ensure a stress-free admission journey, Mrs. Seema Khanna, leading educational consultant at TeachLive.in, outlines the core factors every parent in Ghaziabad and NCR must evaluate.

School selection is deeply tied to geography and commute feasibility. Mrs. Seema Khanna breaks down the primary admission hubs across Trans-Hindon:
Surya Nagar & Ramprastha
Ideal for families seeking established CBSE institutions like Platinum Valley International School (PVIS) with seamless connectivity to East Delhi.
Brij Vihar & Chander Nagar
Convenient access to progressive primary and senior secondary schools with well-connected transport routes.
Greater Ghaziabad
Home to large-campus CBSE and international schools offering comprehensive athletic and co-curricular programs.

Understanding CBSE Age Criteria & Point Systems
When seeking admission in Ghaziabad, parents should keep these guidelines top-of-mind:
- Minimum Age Norms: Ensure your child meets the minimum age requirement as of March 31st for Nursery, KG, or Class 1 entry per NEP guidelines.
- Neighborhood Points: Proximity usually carries the highest weight in point allocations (0-3 km vs 3-6 km).
- Sibling & Alumni Criteria: Leverage sibling or alumni points early by submitting complete supporting credentials.
- Single Child / Girl Child Consideration: Many Ghaziabad CBSE schools allocate special weightage points under these categories.
4 Essential Steps Before Submitting Forms
- Standardize Document Details: Ensure spellings of parents' and child's names match across Aadhaar, Birth Certificate, and Passport.
- Prepare for Interactive Sessions: Focus on informal conversation and emotional confidence rather than academic drills.
- Verify Transport Routes: Confirm school bus coverage for your specific block or pocket before locking seat confirmation.
- Track Deadlines: Keep an active calendar of form release dates across Surya Nagar, Ramprastha, and Ghaziabad institutions.
